Bromsgrove House, Birmingham

Client: Shaylor Group | Location: Birmingham

Rubix Consulting were delighted to be involved in the construction of Bromsgrove House, a 140-bed student accommodation scheme built on Bromsgrove Street in the Southside area of Birmingham, which also comprises a commercial unit at the ground floor. The structure was a reinforced concrete frame founded on CFA piles. The project posed some interesting logistical challenges as the site was on a narrow foot-print and bordered closely with existing buildings on three sides and a busy main road on the forth. Rubix Consulting carried out Temporary Works designs and checks for the site hoarding, piling platform, piled reinforced concrete tower crane foundation and bearing capacity checks for mobile crane outriggers.
